The evolution continues…

I’ve been doing some form of a weekly newsletter on and off for the last five years. It started as a compilation of links before morphing into my own writing and then into a podcast more recently.

It’s been an amazingly fun outlet to try to put some structure around some of my more random interests in life. It’s also been wonderful hearing from friends and family that feel in better touch with me as a result of this effort!

At this point, I’m ready for a new phase. Instead of attempting to release weekly, I want to be more intentional and try to release seasons of episodes, primarily in podcast form but possibly accompanied by writing, video, or whatever else strikes my fancy.

So, here’s what to expect from me:

1. July 7 - August 18 - The Arvind and Mike Show
   Starting next week, I am releasing a series of 7 conversations with my friend Mike Goldstein. I convinced him to talk education with me over the course of a few weeks and it was honestly a blast. He’s an amazingly smart thinker in education who doesn’t fit into any neat ideological boxes, and never takes himself too seriously. If you ever wanted to know more about the types of things I work on and think about in education in the last few years, please do subscribe to get the podcasts on your phone each week. The mini-intro to the series is already up.

2. September - Wouldn’t it be awesome if…? Season 1
   I’m going to wrap up the first ‘season’ of WIBAI Season 1 with four more episodes that I’ll release weekly in September.

3. December - The Maker’s Dream (working title)
   I am going to publish my book in December! It is terrible right now, but I’m planning to use a lot of time between now and December to make it something that doesn’t truly embarrass me. It’s a young adult sci-fi novel that explores a lot of the themes I’m interested in. Expect more details to come on this in the coming weeks and months.

4. January or February 2022 - Wouldn’t it be awesome if…? Season 2
   I have an idea for what I’m going to do with Season 2 that I’m really pumped about, but I’ll save those details for later.

Anyways, I’m excited about this new structure and hope that getting more concentrated doses of me is more appealing than overwhelming you with my craziness most weeks. Throughout all of this, expect to hear more about / from my girls as I know from the feedback that’s what you all enjoy the most.
